Slash and his band MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS — Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass) and Frank Sidoris (guitar) — have announced a fall headlining tour starting September 4 in San Diego, California and wrapping October 3 in Los Angeles, California. The exclusive presale for Citi card members starts Tuesday, July 3. Citi card members will also have special access to tickets as well as VIP experiences at www.citiprivatepass.com. A limited amount of VIP packages — including a chance to meet Slash and get an autographed guitar — will also be available for fans during the pre sale which begins Tuesday, July 10. General public on-sales will begin Friday, July 13.
Slash has scored his first-ever No. 1 hit at rock radio as a solo artist with"You're A Lie", the first single from his second solo effort, "Apocalyptic Love". The record came out on May 22 and debuted at No. 4 on theBillboard album chart a week later, selling 38,000 copies in its first week of release.
Unlike Slash's solo debut, which featured different vocalists on each track and a number of guest musicians, Slash has recorded all of the new CD with his touring band, MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS.
Slash co-wrote all the material with ALTER BRIDGE singer Myles Kennedy and told The Pulse Of Radio that they never struggled to find a groove together. "There was never any kind of like, 'OK, we need to sit down and focus on writing,'" he said. "Just whenever ideas happened, I would just lay them down, and if I thought it was good enough to send to him, then I'd send it to him. And he miraculously would come up with melodies for everything I came up with, and it just happened like that."
Slash and his band recently completed a month-long tour of Europe.
On July 10, Slash will be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
Report: LAMB OF GOD Frontman To Remain In Czech Prison For At Least Ten Days
According to Blesk.cz, LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe will remain in the Pankrác Prison in Prague, Czech Republic for at least the next days in connection with the death of a fan more than two years ago.
Although it was reported on Saturday that Blythe would be released today after posting 4 million Czech Koruna bail (approximately $200,000 — an amount which Randy claimed was the equivalent of his annual income), it now appears that the singer won't be able to get his freedom until next week.
Judge Petr Fassati of Prague 8 district court stated: "There may well be certain conditions placed upon [Blythe's] release, such as staying in the Czech Republic, or the availability of a specific address. If the conditions are violated, it could lead an international arrest warrant being issued."
Blythe, 41, who was arrested on June 27 at the Prague airport on manslaughter charges, is accused of causing the fatal injury that occurred at LAMB OF GOD's May 24, 2010 show in Prague. The singer apparently either pushed or struck a 19-year-old fan named Daniel N. — a guitarist in a local metal band — who had come on stage, and that person died 14 days later of bleeding in the brain. A post-mortem reportedly found that he had not been drunk or under the influence of drugs.
The crime of which Blythe is being accused is punishable by up to ten years in prison, according to popular Czech news web site Novinky.cz.
LAMB OF GOD was scheduled to perform on June 28 at the Rock Café in Prague with SKELETONWITCH and ALL SHALL PERISH but that show ended up getting canceled.
LAMB OF GOD's publicist, Adrenaline PR, issued a statement on Friday stressing that "under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind involved [during LAMB OF GOD's 2010 concert]. This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushedRandy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head."

Shinedown Frontman Brent Smith Says “Unity” Is “About Loving Your Brother and Your Sister”
Frontman Brent Smith is promoting brotherly love with “Unity,” the next single from Shinedown’s latest album, Amaryllis.
“It’s about loving your brother and your sister, loving your neighbor, and it’s about being with one another in this beautiful world that we live in,” Smith tells ABC News Radio. “It’s about grabbing on to each other and understanding that we should be building each other up instead of tearing each other down and we really do one hundred percent feel that way.”
Smith added that the band decided to release the song over the summer so that fans would be familiar with it when they performed it during their music festival appearances. “We knew that the song was probably going to be released at a time of the year where there’s a lot of festivals going on," explains the singer. "We wanted to have a song that was going to represent the human spirit and was going to represent everyone understanding that we might come from different backgrounds but we’re all here together.”
Back in March, the band released the video for “Unity,” whose story line features a young girl who travels around town taking pictures of people, mixed with shots of her arranging the pictures on a wall to create a mosaic of two people shaking hands. Now, the band has released a new video for the track, which begins with the band huddled in a circle performing a pre-show ritual.
As the band sways back and forth, Smith can be heard saying, “We will not fall because we have each other. We will not fall because we are brothers. We will not fall because we have love. We will not fall because we will rise above.” The new video continues, mixing clips of the previous video along with shots of the band performing “Unity” live in front of a crowd at a festival.
You’ll be able to hear the song performed live when Shinedown hits the road withGodsmack, Staind and P.O.D. for the third annual Rockstar Uproar Festival. That outing kicks off on August 17 at Capitol Federal Park at Sandstone in Kansas City, MO.
