The Brooklyn Nets began balling last week with a new location, new arena, and new look. Most importantly though, of course, a new mascot! The Nets new mascot is named BrooklyKnight and it is...interesting. First of all, what kind of porn-style name is BrooklyKnight? And no, I'm not forgetting to put a space between those two names; it's rather strangely all one word. BrooklyKnight is the new symbolic "defender" of Brooklyn according to the team and even has a comic book series being created to display just how awesome BK is. This whole concept seems a little outrageous to me. After all, one of the best mascots in sports is the most simplistic...the Phoenix Suns GORILLA! Hell yeah!
