It's no mystery that the music industry has been going through a major transformation during the past few years. Bands are constantly trying to find new ways to make some cash since record sales don't cut it anymore. One route many bands have taken is allowing their songs to be streamed online through sites such as Pandora, Slacker, and Spotify. As it turns out, though, they don't make dick from that either! In order for a band to get paid the equivalent of ONE album sale, they would need 312,000 plays on Pandora! So if you're looking to get into music as a recording artist, you better enjoy your job because you're going to be getting bent your entire career!
