SEVENDUST: More Footage From New Album Recording Sessions Posted Online
SEVENDUST has entered Architekt Music studios in Butler, New Jersey with engineer Mike Ferretti to begin recording its ninth album for an early 2013 release.

SEVENDUST's latest CD, "Cold Day Memory", sold around 27,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The band's previous effort, "Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow", opened with 25,000 units back in April 2008 to land at position No. 19.
"Cold Day Memory" was released on April 20, 2010 on the band's own7Bros. Records, through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group. The CD — produced by Grammy Award winner Johnny K(DISTURBED, STAIND, 3DOORSDOWN, PLAIN WHITE T'S) — was the group's first new album with its original lineup back together with Lowery's return after his departure in 2003.
CALL ME NO ONE — the new project featuring Lowery and SEVENDUSTdrummer Morgan Rose — released its debut album, "Last Parade", on June 5. The CD's first single, "Biggest Fan", was made available topurchase on iTunes on April 24.
SEVENDUST guitarist John Connolly and bassist Vince Hornsby also recently launched a new project, joining forces with CREED/ALTER BRIDGE drummer Scott Phillips in a newoutfit called PROJECTED.
PROJECTED has already completed recording its debut disc, "Human", to be released September 18 on Connolly's own Yaya Papu LLC label.

Stream Green Day’s New Album, ¡Uno!, in Its Entirety
While Green Day’s new album ¡Uno! won’t be in stores until next week, fans now have the chance to preview the songs online. The band is currently offering a stream of the entire new album on their Facebook page from now until its release date on September 25.
You’ll get your chance to hear ¡Uno! performed live when Green Day hits the road for a North American tour. That outing kicks off at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle on November 26, shortly after the second album in the trilogy, ¡Dos!, is released on November 13. The band’s final album of the trilogy, ¡Tré!, will be available on January 15, 2013.
Metallica’s Kirk Hammett Announces Book-Signing Tour for Too Much Horror Business
Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett will celebrate the publication of his horror memorabilia book, Too Much Horror Business, next month by making appearances in several U.S. cities to sign copies of it for fans. According to a post on Metallica’sFacebook page, the tour will kick off in New York City on October 11, and will make stops in Los Angeles, Burbank and San Francisco.
“This is my gift to all the other horror nerds out there who are just like me,” says Hammett in a statement. “It’s been made with great love for all the many characters and movies which guided me through childhood, into adulthood and which still keep me on track today.” Too Much Horror Business will arrive in stores on October 1. Black Keys Member Patrick Carney Gets Married
One-half of The Black Keys got married over the weekend. Drummer Patrick Carney wed Emily Ward at their Nashville home Saturday, according to E! News.
Carney's band mate, Dan Auerbach, was among the 350 or so guests at the wedding, which was officiated by former Saturday Night Live cast member Will Forte.
30 Seconds to Mars Drummer Releases Dance Remix of “Night of the Hunter”
30 Seconds to Mars want you to experience a track from their 2009 album, This Is War, in a whole new way. The band has just released a new electronic dance music remix of “Night of the Hunter,” created by drummer Shannon Leto.
“'Night of the Hunter' is one of my favorite songs to play live with my band and I really wanted to reinvent it, to shed a different light on it by bringing a dance element to it,” says Leto in a statement. “I'm excited share the remix out there in the world!”

30 Seconds to Mars Documentary Wins People's Choice Award at Toronto International Film Festival
30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto won the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday for his documentary film, Artifact. The film tells the story of 30 Seconds to Mars’ legal battle with record label EMI, which slapped the group with a $30 million lawsuit when it tried to leave the label in 2007. The lawsuit was eventually dropped and the band wound up releasing its 2009 album, This Is War, through EMI.
"It started as a film about the making of an album, and it became a film about the most brutal and challenging conflict of our lives," Leto tells Rolling Stone. "I hope that artists and audiences watch this film and get a greater understanding of how things work [in the record industry], because understanding is the beginning of change. Inevitably, we're all moving towards what I hope is a more transparent system."
Leto added that the legal battle with EMI helped inspire the band during the writing process for This Is War. "It actually helped us make a better album," explains the singer. "We were very determined. We had to make an album that succeeded no matter what -– with or without a label. It's called This Is War for a reason. We were fighting for fairness.”
You may get your chance to see the film soon in a theater near you, as Leto says that the documentary has gotten “several offers from distributors.”
