ROB ZOMBIE's New Movie Premieres At Toronto Film Fest
According to The Pulse Of Radio, Rob Zombie's new movie, "The Lords Of Salem", had its world premiere on Monday night (September 10) at theToronto International FilmFestival, where Zombie's fifth live-action feature was screened for critics, the public and potential distributors. The Playlist called it Zombie's "most accomplished," "most ambitious" and "most unnerving" film, although Bloody Disgusting labeled the low-budget movie a disappointment, saying Zombie's script was "littered with problems" and questioning his decision to cast his wife Sheri Moon Zombie as the lead.
The plot of the film deals with a curse placed 300 years ago on the residents of Salem by a coven of witches who were put to death, and how that curse returns to terrorize the city's modern-day inhabitants.
Zombie told The Pulse Of Radio that just like on his other films, thescript for "The Lords Of Salem" went through changes even as he was filming it. "You know, sometimes you have a script and things change," he said. "You think, 'Oh, this character is going to be really important' or that actor, but it doesn't really come off that way. But then another character that was sort of in the background moves to the foreground, and rather than fight it, I will change it if I feel that it's better. So yeah, there's tons of things changed — I mean, if anyone read the script, there's like almost no relation, almost."
There is no release date yet for the movie, which Zombie made in collaboration with the producers of the "Paranormal Activity" franchise.

Zombie has also been working on his first new album since 2010's"Hellbilly Deluxe 2". The new, yet-to-be-titled CD is set for a late 2012 release.

SOUNDGARDEN To Sign With UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP
According to HITS' industry insider I.B. Bad, reformed grunge legends SOUNDGARDEN is in the process of signing with Universal Music Group in a worldwide deal put together by Max Hole, chief operating officer ofUMGI (international division of Universal Music Group), and Lucian Grainge, UMG's chairman and chief executive officer. In the U.S., the first album under the agreement will be on former WarnerBros. RecordsChairman/CEO Tom Whalley's Seven Four Ent. imprint through Universal Republic Records.
Although a release date for SOUNDGARDEN's sixth full-length studio album and first in 16 years, "King Animal", has not been officially confirmed,RollingStone recently reported it as November 13.
The band launched a website and teaser video for the disc, which includes an excerpt from a song called "Worse Dreams". Aside from the track "Live To Rise", which appeared on the soundtrack to "TheAvengers", this is the first new music heard from the band since 1996's"Down On The Upside" album.
Drummer Matt Cameron told The Pulse Of Radio it wasn't long after the band reunited in 2010 that they realized they wanted to make a new album. "When we got together in a room to rehearse for some shows and write some new music, we felt re-energized and we felt like we still had something to say musically," he said. "Who knows if we'll have the same type of impact, but I think what's super-important for us is that we really like playing this type of music together, and we know that we still have a core fan base out there that is excited to hear what we have to offer."
Guitarist Kim Thayil told Rolling Stone that the new record "re-establishes that we still rock, we're still heavy, and we're still a little weird."
STATIC-X: Multi-Camera Footage Of San Jose Concert

Bassist Brent Ashley left STATIC-X earlier in the month. His final show with the band took place on September 1 at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California. He wrote on his Facebook page, "[I] wish things would have ended differently, but I'm very excited for what the future will bring." He added on Twitter, "Being the professional that I am, I won't call anyone out or point fingers as to why I left. But, if ya meet me in person … feel free to ask."
Original STATIC-X bassist Tony Campos — who is currently on the road with SOULFLY — issued a statement in July indicating that he had "no interest in working with [STATIC-X frontman] Wayne Static, now, or anytime in the foreseeable future."
Regarding his decision to resurrect STATIC-X, Wayne said, "I really just wanted to go back to old-school STATIC-X since the band has been gone for a few years. The last tour I was on I did a lot of my solo stuff, and I'm ready to get back to old-school STATIC-X stuff, which is actually new again."
STATIC-X's recent trek marked the band's first outing since they announced a hiatus in 2009.
Athough none of the other original members — Campos, Koichi Fukuda(guitar) and Nick Oshiro (drums) — are part of the new STATIC-X lineup,Tony previously said that he was supportive of his former bandmate's decision to reform the group, saying, "I'm proud of my years with STATIC-X, and want to see the name of the band stay alive and well. I hope that all of our fans will continue to support both Wayne and I in our individual endeavors."
SHINEDOWN Bassist Wishes PAPA ROACH Singer Well
SHINEDOWN has been co-headlining the Rockstar Energy UproarFestival tour with GODSMACK since themiddle of August, with dates booked through the end of September, but one of the other acts they had on the trek with them is missing. PAPAROACH had to drop off after just a few shows so that singerJacoby Shaddix could have surgery on his vocal cords. SHINEDOWN bassist Eric Bass told The Pulse Of Radio that the group's departure wasn't a total surprise. "You know, they had talked about him having to get some surgery and get some things taken care of, but I think it was absolutely for the best because, you know, we definitely didn't want him to harm himself — you know, the guy's got a long careerahead of him, man, and we didn't want to see that cut short either," he said. "So everybody out here was 100,000 percent supportive of him and of the decision, and we weren't gonna bring anybody out here to replace those guys 'cause you can't replace them."

SHINEDOWN is on the road behind its fourth studio album, "Amaryllis", which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard album chart earlier this year.
The band is aiming for its third No. 1 rock single from the album with"Enemies", which follows up "Bully" and "Unity" as the third track released from the disc.
SHINEDOWN has a total of eight No. 1 singles and 15 Top 10 hits, according to Billboard.

Muse Spokesman Calls $3.5 Mil Lawsuit Against Warner Music “Complete Nonsense”
Muse has responded to the $3.5 million copyright infringement lawsuit that was filed against their record label, Warner Music Group, over concepts behind tracks on the band’s 2009 album, The Resistance.
In a statement provided to ABC News Radio, a rep for Muse denies charges by a Texas man who is accusing the band of stealing the idea for his "cinematic science-fiction rock opera," Exogenesis, and using it on The Resistance.
"The claim is complete nonsense, and is categorically denied,” reads the statement. "It appears to be based on a 'screenplay' which the band never received or saw, produced by someone the band has never heard of. It speaks volumes that the album in question was released a full three years ago, and yet this is the first that has been heard of these groundless allegations."
Austin, Texas-based attorney Robert Kleinman told ABC News Radio on Monday that he filed the lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan last week on behalf of his client, Charles Bolfrass. Kleinman says that Bolfrass pitched Exogenesis to Muse in 2005, supplying them with a binder that included a screenplay, storyboards and about 1,000 pages of supporting material. The attorney says Muse rejected Bolfrass' ideas, but copied concepts from Exogenesis for their songs “Exogenesis I,” “Exogenesis II” and “Exogenesis III,” which appear on The Resistance. The lawsuit also alleges that the image from The Resistance’s cover artwork was stolen from Bolfrass’ Exogenesisstoryboards.
Bolfrass is suing Warner Music for copyright infringement, unfair trade practices and unfair competition.
Doug Robb Says Hoobastank Experienced "Complicated" Changes While Making Fight or Flight
Hoobastank went through a number of changes while putting together their recently released fifth studio album, Fight or Flight. Frontman Doug Robb says that the guys were dealing with some major changes throughout the entire recording process, which caused the album's release date to be pushed back twice.
“Honestly, it was just kind of complicated,” Robb tells ABC News Radio. “In the span of the last record, we switched management, we pried our self off of our label and it’s been busy on a personal level as well. I had a kid, our drummer had twins.”
Robb added that the album’s title was a testament to the band’s ability to stay together while dealing with all the personal and professional changes in their lives. “We’ve been doing this for 12 years now professionally and we’ve seen so many of our friends' bands come and go, and other bands that we don’t know come and go; and here we are still doing this and enjoying it,” explains the singer. “There’s been so many chances in that span that we could’ve quit, but we stuck it out so it’s kind of like, fight or flight.”
Green Day Post Performance Video for “Nuclear Family”
Green Day is giving us another taste of their upcoming album, ¡Uno!, which hits stores on September 25. After releasing videos for "Oh Love" and "Kill The DJ," the band has now unveiled the video for “Nuclear Family.” The three-minute clip features footage of the band performing the track live in a large, padded warehouse.
You’ll get your chance to hear "Nuclear Family" performed live when Green Day hits the road for a North American tour. That outing kicks off at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle on November 26, shortly after the second album in the trilogy, ¡Dos!, is released on November 13. The band’s final album of the trilogy, ¡Tré!, will be available on January 15, 2013.
