In a statement provided to ABC News Radio, frontman Dave Grohl says that the band will be taking a break now that they’ve finished supporting their Grammy-winning album,Wasting Light.
"I'm not sure when the Foo Fighters are going to play again,” writes Grohl. “It feels strange to say that, but it's a good thing for all of us to go away for a while. It's one of the reasons we're still here. Sometimes it's good to just...put it back in the garage for a while.”
The singer goes on to assure fans that they shouldn’t worry about the band calling it quits. “I can't give up this band. And I never will. Because it's not just a band to me. It's my life. It's my family. It's my world. [So] no gold watches or vacations just yet.”

Creed’s Scott Stapp “Disappointed” with President Obama

Creed singer Scott Stapp appeared on the Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends on Tuesday morning to voice his opinion about the upcoming presidential election.  While Stapp says he voted for President Obama in 2008, he now feels "disappointed" by the president and his administration that made "a lot of promises, but no real delivery."
"For me, it's hard to commit and to trust President Obama again because I was so inspired and thought everything was going to change," said Stapp. "I know he walked into a tough situation, but I feel change is in the air."
Stapp didn’t endorse Republican candidate Mitt Romney during his appearance on the show, but he did say that he wanted a president “like [RonaldReagan or FDR to come back and give us a New Deal.”
In other Creed news, the band will be heading overseas later this month for their very first headlining tour of Indonesia, Philippines and South America. That 12-city international trek will start October 31 in Surabaya, Indonesia and will wrap up on November 29 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Grey's Anatomy Star Eric Dane Sues Smashing Pumpkins Frontman Billy Corgan

Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane and his wife have filed a lawsuit against neighbor andSmashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. The complaint alleges that Dane and his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, were put at risk when a tree on Corgan's property fell into the couple's home.
According to TMZ.com, the lawsuit states that a eucalyptus tree fell during a storm last year, crashing into Dane and Gayheart's Beverly Hills home and taking down a power line in the process.
Dane says he and his then-nine-months-pregnant wife had to flee their home, which was flooded and exposed to live electrical wires.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
Corgan denies a claim in the lawsuit that he'd been previously warned that the tree was dangerous.
The rocker tells TMZ, "I was horrified when I learned about the tree falling during what was a massive storm, a storm with winds strong enough to uproot a 50-foot tree by its base! Thankfully no one was injured."
Corgan says he had similar trees removed from his property after the accident.

Smashing Pumpkins to Reissue Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness in December

Following the reissues of 1991’s Gish, 1993’s Siamese Dream and 1994’s Pisces Iscariot,The Smashing Pumpkins will re-release 1995′s Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadnessin December.
The album will be available in a variety of formats, including standard and deluxe digital versions and a vinyl package.  All versions will include a remastered edition of the original album, while the deluxe versions will include 64 previously unreleased or alternate versions of Mellon Collie-era tracks.  The physical version of the deluxe package will also include a live DVD documenting a 1996 concert at Brixton Academy in London, as well as a few performances the band made on the German TV seriesRockpalast that same year.
“What strikes me now about Mellon Collie is that we were coming off of making Siamese Dream with Butch Vig -- which was a very idealized statement,” writes frontman Billy Corgan in the upcoming release's liner notes.  “Yet coming off of that success, we went completely in the opposite direction...we headed into a much darker, funkier and more visceral terrain. Revisiting Mellon Collie for this edition, that’s what struck me -- that we made this kind of dramatic ‘about face’ at a time when most people would have made an even more expensive idealized statement.”
The Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness reissues will be available December 3.

Marilyn Manson to Release “Special Edition” of Born Villain

Marliyn Manson is planning something special for his fans this holiday season. The singer wants to release a “special edition” of his latest album, Born Villian, which will include a few extra tracks.
"They're not just acoustic versions or demos or stuff like that," Manson tellsBillboard.com. "They're really good songs that were going to go on the album but I didn't want the album to be too long. I knew there would be the opportunity to use them for something."
Manson added that the current political climate was one of the main inspirations behindBorn Villain’s songwriting process. “[Born Villain] has to do with it being an election year and...the challenge of discussing religion and politics and being strong without preaching,” he notes. “I'm more into changing one person's mind. If I see someone smile or get angry or take their shirt off or try to stab me, then I know I made an effect -- not that I want things to happen in that order."
The singer says that fans can expect to get their hands on the deluxe version of Born Villain sometime this fall, "shortly before the holiday."
