LIMP BIZKIT: Video For New Song 'Leaked' To YouTube
A video for a newLIMP BIZKIT track called "Lightz" can be seen below. The song is expected to appear on the band's next studio album,"Stampede Of The Disco Elephants", which will be released next year via LIMP BIZKIT's new deal with Cash Money, Lil Wayne's longtime record company.
LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst revealed via Twitter that "Lightz" is not the band's official new single and he claimed that the track was "leaked prematurely."
LIMP BIZKIT is currently working on a video for the "Urban Assault Version" of the group's collaboration with Lil Wayne, "Ready To Go".
LIMP BIZKIT last year parted ways with Interscope, the label that released all of the band's records thus far through its subsidiaries Flip,Geffen and Suretone Records.
2011's "Gold Cobra" was LIMP BIZKIT's first CD to feature the original lineup of Fred Durst (vocals), Wes Borland (guitar), Sam Rivers (bass),John Otto (drums), and DJ Lethal since 2000's "Chocolate Starfish And Hot Dog Flavored Water".
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE: New Album Title, Release Date Revealed
Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will release their fourth album, "Temper Temper", on February 11, 2013 in the U.K. via Sony Music. The album's title track will be released on November 25 across all digital providers. The band debuted the song live at London, England'sMaida Vale studios on October 22 during BBC Radio 1's "Rock Week".
"Temper Temper" was once again produced by Don Gilmore (LINKIN PARK, GOOD CHARLOTTE), who worked on the group's last LP, 2010's"Fever", and was mixed by noted engineer Chris Lord-Alge (DEFTONES,NICKELBACK, AVENGED SEVENFOLD).
In other news, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will embark on a U.K. tour in March. Support on all dates will come from HALESTORM.

In a recent interview with South Africa's Voice Of Rock Radio, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE frontman Matt Tuck stated about the band's upcoming album, "For me, it's a huge compliment that [Gilmore] really didn't have much input [this time around], 'cause on the last record he did, and it kind of opened my eyes to write differently and to think about, not slowing things down, but kind of… there's no restraint on screaming and restraint on a million miles an hour. It's not necessary, really. We've kind of done that [already]. So on this record, [he kind of] sat back and let me do it without having much input, which to me, knowing Don, is a huge compliment, 'cause it means I've kind of done it right by my own. So, yeah, we've definitely fucking nailed it on this record. I know it's a long way before coming out and anyone's gonna hear anything, but I've lived with [it] and I know what it is, and trust me, it's good."
Asked about BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's longevity and musical progression over the years, Tuck said, "We've been doing this eight years now and we're still at the top of the game of… we're still at the top of our tree of our style of music. I mean, no one's really kind of tried to take us over. So we have kind of taken the foot off the gas already a little bit with'Fever', and the album we just recorded, we've actually backed off a little bit again — not because we don't think people don't wanna hear heavy music, we've actually made it heavier by slowing down and less is more. Like METALLICA's 'black album,' you wouldn't necessarily call it a heavy album, but the sound of it is fucking heavy and it's big and it sounds timeless because of that. It's not a million miles an hour — it's big and heavy and loud. We're not trying to make a 'black' album, we're just trying to kind of take that theory of slowing down, putting less technical bits in and concentrating on the vocals and the meat and bones of the song."
ZAKK WYLDE's 'Guitar Apprentice': Sample Of 'Crazy Horse' Video
Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE) recently announced his first signature-edition guitar instruction collection, exclusively available at Guitar Centers across the country beginning October 1.
Guitar Apprentice takes a hit guitar song and breaks it down into 15 different levels of playing. The user is playing great guitar songs with a full band, supplying only a chord or two at first. The user can then work on songs at any desired speed and when it is completed is playing 100 percent of the song — including solos. At every level, Guitar Apprenticeshows the user visually, exactly what and when to play at the pace he or she desires.
The Zakk Wylde Signature Edition Guitar Apprentice was recorded live at Wylde's Black Vatican studio in Los Angeles and features six DVDs of guitar instruction by Wylde himself, including signature rhythm patterns, solo breakdowns, tones, pedals and gear. Fifteen levels of learning are provided per song.

Asked how the idea of an instructional set of DVDs came about, Zakk told MusicRadar.com, "The guys behind the project approached me, basically. They asked me what I thought of 'Guitar Hero', and I said it was awesome. Who knows — you could have the next Jimmy Page or Dimebag or Yngwie coming out of that thing. Some kid starts out on that, and eventually he says, 'Man, I want to get a real guitar.' That's what you want to happen. To me, anything that promotes the guitar is good. So the guys with 'Guitar Apprentice' came to me and said that it would be like a game, but you'd actually learn how to play. It's not like you're playing with a controller or anything like that — you're using a real guitar. I said, 'Yeah, of course. Sounds great!' I added a couple of songs from the new record that they wanted to do. 'Overlord' came up, so did 'Crazy Horse' and'Parade Of The Dead'. I performed the songs from beginning to end, and then we broke them down. When you're playing the game, you're learning the song. You're learning how to play. And you learn the scales and how they connect. It's cool."
Zakk was also asked if he learned anything about his style in making these DVDs. "Well, no," he replied. "You know, I know the names of the modes, the names of the scales — I know the shit that I'm playing. [laughs] I don't just go, 'Yeah, use this fingering…' I know more than that. Tell me an F #, and I'll show you all over the fingerboard where an F# is. I've studied theory, so I've got that down."
Regarding whether he is nice and patient as a teacher, Zakk said, "Without a doubt. When I was teaching guitar back in the day, before I got the gig with Ozzy, I always liked doing it. You'd get the prize student who sinks his teeth into it and actually practices and learns the language. It's cool when somebody takes the time to understand it. Some people grasp it naturally, and for other people it's hard."

SEVENDUST's CLINT LOWERY Talks New Album, CALL ME NO ONE Side Project
"Source Of The Sound With Wendy Campbell" recently conducted an interview with SEVENDUST guitarist and CALL ME NO ONE frontman Clint Lowery. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.
SEVENDUST recently completed recording its ninth album for an early 2013 release. The CD was recorded at Architekt Music studios in Butler, New Jersey with engineer Mike Ferretti.
"It's a basic SEVENDUST record," Lowery told "Source Of The Sound With Wendy Campbell". "There's nothing, like, too completely different than anything we've done before. It's got a darker vibe to it. We've got a good amount of the programming element in there. It's a lot of what we do — it's heavy and it's got its melodic element in it. So if you're a SEVENDUST fan, it's more along the lines of the second and third records we did — it's kind of like that. It's got a couple of throwback vibes to it.'Animosity' [2002] and 'Home' [1999], if I can put those two records together, it would [sound similar to the new CD]."
According to Lowery, SEVENDUST is in talks about hitting the road in early 2013 with LACUNA COIL and COAL CHAMBER.
SEVENDUST's latest CD, "Cold Day Memory", sold around 27,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The band's previous effort, "Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow", opened with 25,000 units back in April 2008 to land at position No. 19.
"Cold Day Memory" was released on April 20, 2010 on the band's own7Bros. Records, through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group. The CD — produced by Grammy Award winner Johnny K(DISTURBED, STAIND, 3 DOORS DOWN, PLAIN WHITE T'S) — was the group's first new album with its original lineup back together with Lowery's return after his departure in 2003.
CALL ME NO ONE — the new project featuring Lowery and SEVENDUSTdrummer Morgan Rose — released its debut album, "Last Parade", on June 5. The CD's first single, "Biggest Fan", was made available to purchase on iTunes on April 24.

Guitarist Kirk Hammett Says Metallica Has “Too Many Ideas” for Next Album
Metallica is facing a unique challenge when they head into the studio to record their tenth studio album. Guitarist Kirk Hammett says that the guys are concerned that they’ve written too much material for their next release.
"We have tons of ideas, and that really is never a problem,” Hammett tellsBillboard.com. “We never have a lack of ideas -- if anything, the problem is we have too many ideas. In about a couple months or so we're gonna seriously start working it out."
Hammett adds that he’s looking forward to the band’s next release, a live DVD titledQuebec Magnetic which documents two of the band’s 2009 concerts in Quebec City. “They were outrageously great and the audience was great and we had a bunch of people filming it," notes Hammett. "We felt like we're really doing a disservice just sitting on this great live footage, so we decided to put it out." Quebec Magnetic will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 10.
Muse’s Matt Bellamy Thinks His Son Wants to Be a Rock Star
Matt Bellamy may be raising a future rock star. The Muse frontman says that his 15-month-old son, Bingham, has become very interested in his father’s profession.
"I took [Bingham] into a soundcheck the other day and he had his earmuffs on and he just tried to run on the stage and grab me and grab the guitar so I've got a feeling he's going to be following in my footsteps,” Bellamy tells the Irish Independent.
The singer adds that Bingham’s favorite song is “Starlight” from the band’s fourth studio album, Black Holes and Revelations. "Whenever I'm away for a day or two he's always trying to get on the iPhone to watch ‘Starlight’ and he goes 'Dada, Dada, Starlight' and it kills me," he explains.

This year's event takes place in Frankfurt, Germany on November 11 and will be hosted by Heidi Klum. The show will air live at 9 p.m. Central European Time in most cities -- that's two in the morning, U.S. Eastern Time -- though some cities will air it on tape delay. Bassist Alex James Says Olympics Gig Helped Keep Blur Alive
Blur fans can thank the 2012 London Olympics committee for reuniting the band. BassistAlex James says that if it wasn’t for their performance at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert, the band may have never performed together again.
"The shows we did in 2009 were the best ones we'd ever done and it felt like that was a good place to leave it but then we all felt we couldn't really say no to being part of the Olympics closing ceremony,” James tells U.K. magazine Q in a video interview. “We all enjoyed it so much and it was the trigger to doing some new recordings so the job's a good [one]."
Blur will be releasing a new live CD/DVD set which includes the band’s full-length concert in Hyde Park, titled Parklive, on December 3.
Ozzy Osbourne Bringing Ozzfest to Japan for the First Time Next Year
Ozzy Osbourne is planning to bring some heavy-metal madness to Japan in 2013, as the hard-rocking festival will visit the Far East for the first time this spring. Ozzfest Japan will be held on May 11 and May 12 at the Makuhari Messe, a convention in the Tokyo area.
In a recently-released video message announcing the event, Ozzy's wife and manager,Sharon Osbourne, says, "We are so excited. Please be there, 'cause we love you, Japan."
The lineup has yet to be announced for the extravaganza. However, in a recent radio interview, Sharon Osbourne revealed that Black Sabbathplans to tour Australia in the spring after the band finishes recording its new studio album, so it seems like a good bet to assume the metal legends will take part in Ozzfest Japan, as well.
