CHEVELLE frontman Pete Loeffler was hospitalized with a knee injury after taking a tumble off the front of the stage during the band's performance this past Monday night (October 8) at Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Arizona.
Prior to being taken to the hospital, Loeffler managed to return to finish out the set after a brief intermission during which he was deemed well enough to perform. He was seated for the remainder of the show (see video below).
CHEVELLEtweeted afterwards that X-rays showed no broken bones. However, Loeffler's knee was "too swollen for an MRI" and he was subsequently released with "an awesome knee brace." According to the band, Pete "may have to sit while playing for these next few shows" in Chico, California (Oct. 10); Reno, Nevada (Oct. 11); and Fresno, California (Oct. 12).
CHEVELLE is continuing to tour in support of its sixth album, "Hats Off To The Bull", which sold 43,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 20 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on December 6, 2011 via Epic Records.

Corey Taylor Explains "Crazy World" Featured in Comic Book Series Based on House of Gold and Bones
Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has partnered with Dark Horse comics to create a four-issue mini-series based on the band’s upcoming double album, House of Gold and Bones. The singer says that his love of comics was the main reason he decided to create something for the concept album.
"It's something I've always wanted to do," Taylor tells USA Today. "I've always been very critical of when comics go south and basically pull the fan out of what the potential is. It's me pretty much putting my money where my mouth is."
Taylor added that the comic series will be “set in this crazy world where nothing's really what it seems, but at the center of it is really a concept about life and evolution and changes." The singer also noted that the lyrics of the House of Gold and Bones tracks will serve as the “internal dialogue” for the characters in the comics, offering “insight into what that character's thinking in that moment.”
You’ll need to wait until next year to get your hands on the comics -- the first issue of the mini-series won’t be available until April 17, 2013. The albums, however, will be available sooner. House of Gold & Bones Part 1 will hit all the usual outlets on October 23, while the second installment, House of Gold & Bones Part 2, is expected to be released early next year.

Music from Green Day’s Album Trilogy Featured in Upcoming Episode of CSI: NY
Green Day fans will want to set their DVRs to record CSI: NY on October 19. That’s the day that songs from the band’s album trilogy -- ¡Uno! ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! -- will be used to narrate some dialogue-free action sequences on the show. You can expect to hear snippets of “Stop When the Red Lights Flash,” “Amy,” “Night Life,” “The Forgotten” and “Kill the DJ” in the upcoming episode.
“We were stoked when we found out CSI: NY wanted to use our music instead of dialogue to narrate the first few acts of the episode,” said the band in a joint statement. “It’s the first time something like this has been done on the series, and we are blown away with what we’ve seen.”
You can check out all the action when the episode featuring Green Day’s music airs on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
