LIMP BIZKIT's DJ LETHAL Sued Over 'Fender Bender'

According to TMZ.com, LIMP BIZKIT's DJ Lethal(real name Leor Dimant) is being sued by a driver who alleges that Lethal crashed into her last December. The woman has hired famed personal-injury lawyer Larry H. Parker — who has won 91 percent of his cases — to represent her, and is seeking an undisclosed amount. In the claim, which was filed on November 5 in Los Angeles, she alleges she suffered physical injuries, loss of wages and damages to her car after Lethal smashed into her on the 101 freeway.

Lethal tells TMZ.com he's not worried about the lawsuit. "It was a fender bender," he said. "No one got hurt. Cops were on the scene and no one complained of injuries. I had no idea there was even a lawsuit." As forParkerLethal said, "That dude must be hurting for cash taking on a fender bender. I haven't seen a commercial from him in years. That commission on the 2.1-million guy must be long gone on hair plugs and Viagra."

Soundgarden Debuts at #5 on Billboard 200; Green Day in at #9

Soundgarden and Green Day both scored positions in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week.
Soundgarden scored the #5 spot with their first album in 16 years, King Animal, which sold 83,000 copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan.  While King Animal’s first-week sales performance is impressive, it doesn’t come close to the initial success of the band's previous release, 1996's Down on the Upside, which racked up 176,000 copies in its first week and claimed the #2 spot on the list.
Meanwhile, the second installment of Green Day’s trilogy, ¡Dos!, clocked in at #9 with 69,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen Soundscan.  ¡Dos! didn’t do as well as the band’s previous release, ¡Uno!, which debuted and peaked at #2 on the tally, selling 139,000 copies its first week out.  Green Day’s final album in the series, ¡Tré!, will arrive in stores on December 11.

Green Day to Release New Documentary, ¡Quatro!, in 2013

Green Day wants to give you an inside look at what the band went through while making their album trilogy.  The band has revealed that they’ve created a new documentary, ¡Quatro!, which will be released sometime in 2013.  The film features a number of the band’s live performances in select cities across the U.S. as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the band in the studio.
"Over the last year while we were recording our trilogy, we posted multiple clips every week so fans can see parts of the recording process of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!," said bassistMike Dirnt in a statement.  "¡Quatro! brings our fans one step closer by giving them even more access and revealing what it was like for us to make these records."
Highlights from the upcoming film will premiere on VH1 on November 28 at midnight.

Scott Weiland Campaigns for Velvet Revolver Reunion; Talks New Solo Album

Scott Weiland is still hoping that he can reunite with Velvet Revolver. The singer says that he’s ready to put any differences aside and make some new music with his former band mates.
"I think it's the perfect time for Velvet Revolver to get back together," Weiland tellsRolling Stone.  "I think that's exciting to look forward to.  It's the old cliché, 'If the gods of rock want it to happen, then it will.'"
Weiland adds that if he returns to Velvet Revolver, he hopes that the guys will take advantage of making music for other projects.  “There have been some things that have stood in the way [of a reunion] that aren't anything that have to do with the band,” he explains.  “But now we're sorting through things, and we want to start writing for some big film opportunities that have come our way, and try to set things up the way we set things up when we initially got together.”
Whether he gets back together with Velvet Revolver or not, Weiland reveals that he plans on taking some time off from his other band, Stone Temple Pilots, to work on a new solo album in 2013 with his new solo band, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts.
"I think the band needs to take some time off and be creative again,” he notes.  “I don’t think that touring consistently with a greatest hits package gets you anywhere.  It diminishes things."

Dave Grohl Talks “Completely Ridiculous” Recording Sessions with Queens of the Stone Age for Upcoming Album

As previously reported, Foo Fighters frontman/former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl is back behind the drum kit for Queens of the Stone Age’s forthcoming new album.  During an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Grohl says he’s enjoying the creative freedom that the band is giving him for the new tracks.
“With Queens of the Stone Age, like, there were no boundaries with that band, there were no limits with them, it was like if you did something insane, you’d do more,” he explains.  “I’ll do something so completely ridiculous, I’ll [think], 'There’s no way that thatJosh [Homme] isn’t going to let me do that,' and he’ll say, 'Do that for forty-five seconds, over and over again, that’s become, like, part of the song, that is a big part of the song,' and that’s the way they work.”
Grohl adds that he has an enormous amount of respect for the band and is thrilled to be working with them again.  "When you walk into a festival backstage with Queens of the Stone Age, it’s like, the record stops,” he notes.  “People stop and they stare, and it’s like, Queens of the Stone Age are, without question, the baddest rock and roll band in the world!  And they still are.”
A title and release date for the forthcoming album has yet to be announced.

Perry Farrell Looking to Record Next Jane’s Addiction Album in 2013

It appears that Jane’s Addiction fans won’t have to wait another eight years for the band to drop their next album.  Frontman Perry Farrell says he’s been busy writing “over 60 songs” for the band’s fifth studio album over the last few months while at home recovering from a recent surgery.
"I haven't written this much or been this prolific since I started when I was in my 20s," Farrell tells Rolling Stone.  "It's been coming out fantastic.  I'm super excited.  Everything will really start to jell and come together probably this time next year."
The singer adds that the band will be exploring some new creative avenues for the forthcoming release.  "It's not going to be [a continuation of] The Great Escape Artist," he explains.  "I just came up with this other twist to doing the next record.  At this point I want to start fresh with a fresh angle."

Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin Cleared of Public Intoxication Charge

Wes Scantlin of Puddle of Mudd has had charges dropped against him following an alleged drunken brawl on a JetBlue flight, according to TMZ.com.
The singer was arrested in September in Austin, Texas, after a plane on which he was traveling was forced to make an emergency landing following an argument between Scantlin and a flight attendant. Scantlin, who was charged with public intoxication, insisted that he did nothing wrong.
He was reportedly cleared of the charge last week due to “insufficient evidence.”
Scantlin could have faced a prison sentence if the charge had stood.  He struck a plea deal for cocaine possession in July that required him to stay out of trouble for 18 months.

Beck Working on New Studio Album

While Beck stunned fans earlier this year by announcing that his next release would be a book of sheet music, Beck Hansen’s Song Reader, the singer has now revealed that he’s working on a new studio album.
Speaking on Australian radio station Triple J, Beck says that he’s been working on the forthcoming album for quite a while and will release the tracks in a “pretty much standard format.”
“I started a record, largely recorded in 2008, so I’m trying to carve out some time from all the production work I’m doing to finish those songs before they become records from a lost era,” he explains.  “It’s going on a half-decade at this point.”
While we wait for Beck’s next album, you can pick up Beck Hansen’s Song Reader on December 7.  The 108-page book features sheet music for twenty new songs, including two instrumentals, along with original artwork from more than a dozen different artists.
