Kid Rock Helps House Injured Veteran

Kid Rock has come to the aid of an injured soldier, helping to set up the disabled veteran in a brand-new custom-designed home, reports The Macomb Daily. The singer was in Macomb Township, Michigan, Saturday to help surprise Sgt. Davin Dumar and his wifeDana with a mortgage-free 2,600-square-foot home.
Dumar lost a leg and suffered injuries to both hands in Afghanistan in 2011, and was just released from a military hospital on Friday.  Rock joined Dumar's friends and family in surprising the couple.  The singer told the stunned couple, “You are going to receive a fully-furnished home, top to bottom. Thank you for your service.”
Kid Rock has donated more than $400,000 to various efforts supporting U.S. troops over the past year. He teamed with Pulte Homes and Operation Finally Home, a non-profit that builds homes for disabled vets, to help Sgt. Dumar and his family. “I wanted to do something close to home,” the Detroit native said, adding, “My philosophy is, help your neighbor first.”

Nickelback's New Video Is a Mini-Sitcom with Dueling Jason Alexanders

Nickelback's known for their over-the-top rock stylings, but in the video for their new ballad "Trying Not to Love You," they're changing things up.  First of all, the band doesn't even appear in the clip.  Instead, it stars Seinfeld actor Jason Alexander -- who plays dual roles -- and former Baywatch actress Brooke Burns.  Second, the whole thing plays out like a very short episode of a sitcom, complete with title credits.
In the clip, Alexander's a schlub named Bud who works at a coffee shop, crafting awesome lattes with cute little pictures in the foam.  When his dream girl, Gennifer -- played by Brooke -- walks in, he loses his cool and becomes a bumbling mess.  He tries to make her the perfect latte, but all he can do is fantasize about her wearing lingerie and rolling around in coffee beans, or floating in a raft in a giant coffee cup.
Meanwhile, another guy -- also played by Alexander -- shows up in response to a "help wanted" sign on the shop window.  He arrives on a motorcycle, and sports a fedora, facial hair and dark glasses, as well as his own coffee-making tools.  Kissing Gennifer's hand, he starts to pump out perfect lattes, each one with a painstakingly-detailed picture crafted in the foam, all of which feature him in some sort of heroic role.  As a crowd gathers, cheering him on, Bud tries to compete, but he just can't.
Dejected, he creates a single latte for Gennifer -- featuring their initials in two hearts -- and hangs up his apron in disgust.  But Gennifer is blown away by the latte, and Bud drives her away on his scooter, leaving Mr. Suave Super Latte Maker surrounded by adoring fans, but without the girl.
According to MTV, the video has confused some fans, who've posted comments like, "That was the actual video?"; "WTF is this?"; "Do Nickelback know that their song is being used for this video?" and "What the hell did I just watch?"

Fred Durst Says Limp Bizkit Doesn’t Like to Tour in America

It appears that Fred Durst doesn’t like touring in America. The Limp Bizkit frontman says that the band isn’t fond of playing the U.S. because he feels that their popularity has faded there.
“We’ve boycotted America for many years now,” Durst tells U.K. magazine Kerrang!. “Here’s the deal: say in 2000, there were 35 million people who connected to this band. Twelve years later, lots of those people have moved on. We were a moment in time and it’s over.”
Limp Bizkit are currently in the studio working on the band’s first album with their new record label, Cash Money Records.
