Jesse Leach is officially back in the vocalist chair for Killswitch Engage! I always liked him for Killswitch over Howard Jones. I thought Jones did a respectable job replacing Leach back in the day, but Killswitch was never the same for me. Their new disc will be a kick ass return to old school Killswitch Engage!
Here is a video from a few years ago with both dudes singing with the band.
You know the Superbowl was a waste of time just like I know the Superbowl was a waste of time. The most fun I had watching it was when we were all making fun of that terrible halftime show. There was one part where Madonna was trying to be an awesome sixty year old while there was some goofy looking dude on a tight rope. Turns out, the tight rope dude is kind of insane.
Sometimes when I am just sitting around things just pop into my mind that out of no where make me laugh. This morning I had one of those moments. I was sitting here at my desk checking my email and I thought about the time when I was still going to college in Chicago and living in a warehouse that some random band shot a music video there. What happened was we were approached by someone and told that these people were going to come and look at it and decide if they wanted to use it. Turns out, they thought it was a piece of crap, but had no where else to go.
The band, was called Subsonic. Which featured Ron Marks on guitar/vocals who in his day, was a member of the band Celtic Frost in the late 80's. If you have no idea who they are, no worries, they suck pretty hard. The drummer for the band however, was Dan Laudo, who at the time was a member of the rock band Prong.
I hope I have gotten your hopes up! Here is the crappy music video they made at the warehouse! Haha, I literally sat there all day and watched them film it. I am pretty sure we all missed our classes that day because of it!
Before watching this video, I didn't know too much about Jason Becker besides the fact that he was a guitar hero from the late 80's that became disabled. This is by far one of the most inspiring things you will see all day.
