So every Wednesday night, I leave the station and head over and play Dodgeball in the Fargo Parks Men's Dodgeball League! I am on the team with some of my friends and our team name is THE RUBBER BROTHERS! After a few weeks of play, here are our current standings:
6 Guys Throwing 5-1-0
Sundog 5-1-0
Kadrmas, Lee, Jackson 4-2-0
Force It In 4-2-0
Picking on the Fat Kid 3-3-0
KLJ 3-3-0
Hot Shots 3-3-0
Red River Financial 2-4-0
Junk Ballers 1-5-0
Rubber Brothers 0-6-0
So what did I do? I MADE US A PLAYBOOK!
Needless to say after showing the team these plays last night, we still managed to stay on a losing steak!
This morning before coming into work, I stumbled upon this hour long performance of the metal band Dimmu Borgir playing a show in Norway with a orchestra and choir. This puts Metallica playing with an orchestra to mad shame! Take an hour and watch this! IT RULES!
For the last few years I have participated in a crap ton of these "celebrity" (loose term) activities. I once played in a basketball game for charity where I sunk a three pointer! I even did a dance contest where I learned that I will never do a dance contest again! The consistant one each year is "Celebrity" Hockey at Scheel's Arena. This year, the game falls on the 21st (NEXT MONDAY!) so, here is a preview of what you can expect from me! Come on out and watch as I get super injured!
It appears that Three Days Grace has a new singer? I wonder how permanent this is. Here is Three Days Grace posted on their official website:
Three Days Grace has announced that Matt Walst, lead singer of My Darkest Days, will be joining the band as the lead singer for their North American co-headlining tour with Shinedown, starting in Moline, IL on February 1st. Former lead singer, Adam Gontier, has left the group effective immediately due to a health issue. In response, Brad Walst stated: "We were surprised and distressed by Adam's sudden departure. We are however very excited for this upcoming tour, and to have my brother Matt stepping in as lead singer." Listen to Matt in rehearsal with Three Days Grace performing "The High Road," "Chalk Outline" and "Riot"
Tomorrow night, I kick off my dodgeball career with the first couple of games of our Fargo Parks Men's League! Our team name is "The Rubber Brothers" and we have some legit players. Well, maybe they are legit. It is hard to say seeing how we never practiced. All I am saying is tomorrow night at Roosevelt Elementary at 9:20 and 9:40pm, The Rubber Brothers are going to kick the crap out of the competition!
*That is also a plug to come and watch the games! Make signs like in wrestling!
Now that the holidays are over and all the vacation days that go along with it have passed, winter can be over now. Oh wait, there are chicks snowboarding in bikini's? Ok, I can last a little bit longer!
