Twitch

New website, new DJ bio! But honestly, there's nothing I can put here that you haven't heard me say already. "Small town, western ND boy moves to Fargo and joins Q98" pretty much wraps up the Twitch Story. The biopic of my radio career would be the shortest film of all time, but would still be way better than Ray. I'm guessing I'd be played by Ethan Suplee or Mark Wahlberg. Rather than bore you with the usual, I've made an itemized list of things that you need to know about me...even though I'm sure you already do:
  • I am a nerd.
  • Video games are my crack cocaine.
  • I f***ing hate kids. Yes, this includes yours.
  • Tomatoes are disgusting.
  • I am a huge New Orleans Saints fan. Always have been.
  • The 2 months per year that I give a s*** about baseball, I root for the Yankees 'cause I like being the bad guy.
  • You know that prick that corrects your grammar? Yeah...I'm that prick.
  • Slipknot is better than your favorite band.
  • I got this job with no prior experience or qualifications.
  • Silence of the Lambs is the best movie ever. There has never been a TV show better than The Shield.
Yeah, you knew all that, right? Those're all things you've heard me talk about before. But even if you've heard and read everything I've said for the last 5 years, there's plenty of stuff you don't know. Such as:
  • If I had to pick one musical turning point in my life, it'd have to be the first time I heard Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell album. There I was, 10-years-old, in my little bubble, enjoying my boring life when all of a sudden there's this big fat dude playing the most amazing stuff I had ever heard. Finding that cassette tape in my mom's Camaro solidified me as a "rock guy."
  • I was raised Catholic. I went to Sunday school. I was even an altar boy. I was never molested.
  • No one likes yogurt, but everyone eats it. This baffles me.
  • I have no allergies, no phobias, and have never had a cavity.
  • Naturally, about 95% of the music I listen to is rock. But there's a ton of stuff on my iPod that's way outside of Q98's wheelhouse. Some my favorite non-Q artists are Jonathan Coulton, Alabama 3, The Killers, David Bowie, MC Frontalot, Elvis Presley, Gorillaz, Crystal Method, MC Chris and Blue Man Group.
  • J. Loren of the band Hurt is one of the best vocalist working today. You should really listen to more Hurt.
  • I've worn the same hat every day since 2005. Don't worry, I wash it. God, I love this hat.
See? There's plenty of stuff about your favorite rotund DJ that you don't know. I hope you've all learned something.

You can have more learning experiences by listening from 10-2 every weekday or by checking out my ramblings on the home page!
